    Wake Forest has 115,000 square feet dedicated to innovation in downtown Winston-Salem and is locating its Center for Entrepreneurship right here in our building. The Center for Entrepreneurship equips Wake Forest students with the skills to develop valuable ideas by working with startups and members of our community.

  • Medical Institutions

    Winston-Salem is the home to two elite medical systems, Novant Health and Wake Forest Baptist Health.

    Novant Health is an integrated system of physician practices, hospitals, outpatient centers, including Forsyth Medical Center, a 921-Bed Hospital. The Novant Health system performs close to 40,000 surgical procedures each year, including more than 6,500 general surgery procedures, 7,000 orthopedic and neurological procedures and 700 open-heart surgeries. The Novant Health system holds accreditation by The Joint Commission and membership to the American Hospital Association. Novant receives high national rankings in many specialties for their outstanding standards of patient care.
