Michael Schafer

J. Michael Schafer has spent his entire career as an active early-stage venture capital fund investor and manager of emerging technology companies. He currently splits his time between managing the closure of venture capital activities of New Mexico Community Capital (“NMCC”) and identifying/evaluating new solutions to the problems associated with future resource scarcity and climate change. As an early-stage investor, Mr. Schafer has been the first institutional venture investor in the majority of his investments and served/serves on over twenty boards of directors. He is a graduate of Davidson College and earned his MBA from the University of Michigan.
