We wrapped up our impressive 2019 year with a Winston Starts Holiday Party!
What a better way to end our year than by having a gathering of all Winston Starts. This past Tuesday, December 17th, we had the pleasure of throwing our annual holiday party here at Winston Starts. With wonderful company, food and entertainment, all were delighted during the evening festivities.
President, Steve Lineberger, kicked off our night with welcomes and positive statements of growth during 2019. We couldn’t be more proud of what our founders have built right here in Winston Salem this past year. Following that, Director, Betsy Brown, announced Winston Starts newest team member, Hannah Huskey. Hannah will be joining the team as our Marketing Assistant and Program Coordinator as she completed an internship with us proving her value added to our team.
Betsy also thanked our event sponsors, food and entertainment for the evening. Ava’s Cupcakes sponsored the wonderful dessert spread we all savored, including a top secret snickerdoodle cookie, banana guava cupcakes, maple bourbon butter pecan, and more! As for food, we had DiamondBack cater the evening dinner with an array of delicious food. On top of the dessert and dinner spread we had, Tina Hopkins of Soul Fire Massage Therapy provided us 5-minute massages for our guests, VR fun was fulfilled by John McBride from Looking Glass VR and Bailey Brown put together a fun Kahoot Trivia on our Founders and Mentors. Shoutout to Team Rudolph for winning trivia, each receiving a bottle of wine! Also, did you know Director, Betsy Brown, once talked so much on a ski lift she had no other choice but to jump off at the top of a black diamond path and ski straight down!
Overall our Holiday party was a blast and we were so happy to be able to gather and celebrate this past year together. As we reflect on all we’ve accomplished this year, we are looking forward to a spectacular 2020 and we hope you are too!
